This page explains what armor does and how duplicates are spent. It does not pretend to rank all 21 pieces.
I read the Fandom Armors page. It lists 21 pieces and the duplicate costs by rarity. The community best-armor article was not in the saved research, so I left the order blank instead of guessing.
What armor changes
Fandom says armor raises health, speed, and max energy. Pieces come from the shop, enemy drops, and chests. Stars on gear are upgrade levels fed by duplicate copies.

Questions
What do stars on armor mean?
They mark upgrade steps. Each step asks for the duplicate counts in the table.
What is the best armor in 2.1.0?
I do not have a 2.1.0 armor rank. World 5 added 3 armor pieces according to a community FAQ, and those were not ranked in the pages I kept.
