The dark key opens a dark chest. This page separates the item source, which Fandom states, from the percentages, which a community guide compiled.
I will not call 1.50% an official drop rate. The developer pages I checked do not publish it. The figure is from a community guide dated 9 October 2026.
How the key is obtained
Fandom lists Dark Key as a legendary fishing drop and as a lure target on some rods, including Dragon Pole. The community guide says it does not drop from mobs or room clears. That guide's base rate is 1.50%, about 1 in 67, and it claims Dragon Pole plus Glowing Eel reaches about 7.67%. Sell price on that page is 660 gold.

What the chest does
The community guide says 1 in 100 breakables in a dungeon can spawn as a Dark Chest. Weapons, basic attacks, and skills do not break it. You walk up and use a Dark Key. The reward line matches a Fandom FAQ note: about 66.66% for three epics for the party, and 33.33% for a legendary of that world.
